More Performance - More Sustainable
Sika’s Sustainability Portfolio Management (SPM) methodology is built on the WBCSD’s Sustainability Portfolio Methodology Chemical Industry Methodology Framework which Sika has been actively involved in developing through the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s (WBCSD) Chemical Sector Industry Group’s project on SPM.
SPM is the mechanism used by Sika to evaluate and classify its products in defined market segments in terms of both Performance and Sustainability. The objective of Sika’s SPM approach is to manage innovation and sustainability, minimizing the risks and maximizing the opportunities associated with our products.
The outcome of the SPM is a portfolio of “Sustainable Solutions” – products with combined significant Sustainability and Performance benefits.
