Sika UK welcomed journalists from some of the leading construction industry publications to its Preston site this month for a behind-the-scenes tour.
The one-day media event began with Dragan Maksimovic, General Manager of Sika UK, giving a short overview of Sika’s commercial ethos, current strategy and plans for future growth, followed by brief presentations from Mike Byrne, Core Technology Head Coating Systems, Dr Sarah Peake, Sustainability Manager, Lee Sleight, National Sales Manager – Waterproofing, and Martin Palmer, Head of Human Resources.
The group was then given a guided tour of the site, taking a first-hand look at the production process with Keith Gilbert, Head of Operations, before being handed over to Mark Gatrell, Head of Research & Development, to learn more about Sika’s extensive research and development activities.
