Henley Royal Regatta is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious events in the English social calendar. The first Regatta took place over 170 years ago and since 1861 the reigning monarch has always consented to become its Royal patron.
Unlike multi-lane international regattas, Henley still operates a knockout draw, with only two boats racing each heat. This entails the organisation of up to 100 races during five days, providing a non-stop programme of racing.

Dress Code
The dress code during Henley Royal Regatta is smart. Although not compulsory, we suggest that gentlemen wear a jacket or blazer and tie and the ladies normally wear a dress or suit.
